LOCATION: TOWN OF IEN
The girls are outside, talking about Prof Dadis. He might be awfully forgetful, but at least they can take it easy on account of his bad memory. Ellie then sees something on the School Tower and flies up to investigate. |
CINEMA A woman is looking over the Magic School. Ellie flies up excited and greets her, asking if she's a new teacher here. The woman knocks her to the ground. She's surprised that another person is able to fly like that--perhaps this island will turn out interesting after all. BARUA: What an interesting island. I think I'll take it! |
Ellie crashes into the ground (like Lena did the other day, Senia adds). Lena heals her. Senia suggests that they go speak with Emma first about all this. |
Go up and enter the School Tower. Talk with Emma (on the first floor).
Emma asks Ellie to lie down. Ellie explains that the woman she saw floating around the tower, she thought she was a teacher. Emma says that the only one they at the school who can fly like that is Ellie; none of the teachers can do that. Dean Steel enters and asks about what happens; they fill him in. The Dean repeats that none of the teachers, nor the students, there can fly except for Ellie. The Dean asks Ellie to rest while he investigates. The Dean then leaves. Emma heals Ellie. Ellie is ok but still a little lightheaded; Emma suggests that they go speak with Prof Brune, the herbology teacher; he can help them. |
Exit the School Tower and enter Brune's Classroom. Talk to Brune (at the table in the back).
Brune offers to give Ellie an elixir which should help her feel better; Senia and Lena are still very worried about taking anything from Brune, particularly anything that he made himself. Ellie drinks it and... is all right. Ellie adds that when she fell, she felt like her power had been taken out of her. She's afraid that she may not be able to fly anymore; Brune reassures her that that shouldn't be the case, but suggests that she talk to Prof Dadis if she's still worried. |
Enter Dadis's Classroom. Talk with Dadis (on the first floor).
Ellie explains that Emma and Brune helped her out thus far, and now she'd like to speak with Prof Dadis about restoring her magic abilities. Dadis says that he knows a spell that should help... |
CINEMA Dadis explains that this spell requires placing makeup all over one's body. Ellie agrees and starts removing her clothes (much to the surprise of everyone). Dadis starts applying the makeup when she laughs. DADIS: Ah, don't laugh! It will distort the patterns! ELLIE: I'm sorry, it tickles! |
Prof Dadis explains that this makeup will protect her magic power, so she needn't fear falling anymore. But, it's not only about the makeup; Ellie needs to believe in her own power as well. |
MAGIC (AUTOMATIC)| From Dadis, Ellie learns the Dive Attack spell.
MAGIC
Ellie - Dive Attack| Attack from the air |
Lena and Senia then look outside and see the boys looking in through the window. ANT: Wh... what? We weren't looking at Ellie undress! LENA: You idiot! You just fessed up!! ANT: Hah! Well, she doesn't look that good anyway! Lena and Senia attack the boys; they run away, trying to still act tough. Ellie comes out and asks them not to worry. Prof Dadis then follows and says that he'll have to have a talk with their teacher. |
Go back to the School Tower. Talk with Emma (on the first floor).
Emma says that the monsters outside of town have recently increased, and warns you to be careful. Lena asks if there's any other information about the woman who attacked them; Emma says that she's afraid they can't say anything about her, and asks them not to inquire about it further. |
MAGIC (OPTIONAL)| Talk to Emma again. She teaches Lena the Lively spell.
MAGIC
Lena - Lively| Heals one person completely |
Go into Ralph's Library.
OPTIONAL| Talk to Ant and the other students inside.
Ant doesn't want a fight, but isn't scared of the girls. He says that the boys aren't there to hide, but there because they had to read something. If you talk to him again, he's really unhappy about the idea of magic involving makeup, since makeup's a girl's thing. |
Talk to Ralph (on the first floor).
Ralph tells you that Prof Brune should have information for Ellie regarding her fall that day. |
Go to Brune's Classroom. Talk with Prof Brune at the back. Talk with the first student there.
The student tells you that Brune has gone to the Coastal Forest to collect herbs. |
OPTIONAL| Talk to some of the other people around town.
Many of them are worried about the increase in monsters outside of town. Most of Iason's Dojo is out, though he won't say why (Lena suggests that maybe they got scared of Iason). GIRL IN TERENA'S CLASSROOM: The power to heal is within the magic of songs. I'd like for my songs to always make people feel happy. |
Leave town by the south exit. Go to the Coastal Forest.
DIRECTIONS Go southeast from town and cross the bridge. From there, go southeast and into the forest (with the large tree). |
LOCATION: COASTAL FOREST
Go through the forest to Prof Brune.
DIRECTIONS Go all the way south, then turn east and follow the path northeast. Take the first path that continues east to the end. Then, go all the way south, and all the way west. You'll find Prof Brune in the clearing. |
Talk to Prof Brune.
Brune isn't quite sure why Ralph would need him. While he ponders it, though, you're attacked. |
BOSS BATTLE| Fight the Lesser Demon
After you defeat the Lesser Demon, Brune continues. Brune isn't sure why Ralph would ask anything of him, since he doesn't know anything else about the person who attacked Ellie that day. Anyway, the girls decide to return to speak with Ralph again. Brune will stay here to finish his work. |
Exit the forest.
DIRECTIONS Go all the way back east, then north until you see a path back to the east. Take that path east all the way, then turn southeast, and continue until you see a path north. Take that path north all the way to the exit. |
Go back to Ien.
DIRECTIONS From the forest, go directly north and cross the bridge. Then go northwest and enter town. |
LOCATION: TOWN OF IEN
Enter Ralph's Library.
No one is inside. They decide to check the second floor; Senia has a bad feeling about this. |
Go to the second floor of the library.
They hear a girl's voice and go to check it out. There, they see Ralph speaking with a woman named Barua; Ralph will bring her the male students of the school per her orders. The girls run to tell the Dean. RALPH: Yes Barua. By your demand, I shall gather all the male students. BARUA: Good boy, Ralph... Bring those lovely boys to me... |
Exit the library.
Barua appears before you; she says Ralph is already hers. They recognize her as the woman who attacked Ellie earlier that day. Ellie tries to stop her, but is knocked back again; Barua is still impressed at her power. Barua warns the girls that their time is short, and then teleports away. Ellie reawakens in the School Tower, thanks to Emma. Lena explains that Prof Ralph is being controlled by that woman. Ralph comes in and denies it, saying the girls are just joking. Ralph claims that they must be still be under the influence of some hallucinogenic herbs, which cause one to see illusions, which grow around the Coastal Forest. Dean Steel asks Emma, who says she believes the girls' account. Steel is unsure, but then suggests that if the girls really did see what they claim, then other students in the library should've seen the same thing. Ralph concurs, saying the library is full of students right now since he's begun taking on new ones. Lena gets angry at Ralph's lying. Emma intervenes and takes responsibility for what the girls say, and questions Ralph's motives. EMMA: I believe the girls, and so I will take responsibility for what they say. But... Professor Ralph? Since when did you become such an expert on herbs? RALPH: I've read a lot about herbology. That's it. EMMA: Oh? Then might I see the book from which you learned this? Dean Steel intervenes, and says that they should just reflect on what they've learned thus far. Lena still accuses Prof Ralph of being up to something, and storms out. Outside, the girls discuss what to do. Lena suggests that perhaps they can give Ralph the same elixir that Brune gave to Ellie to restore her strength. That should counteract the spell he's under. |
Leave town by the south exit. Go to the Coastal Forest again.
DIRECTIONS Go southeast from town and cross the bridge. From there, go southeast and into the forest (with the large tree). |
LOCATION: COASTAL FOREST
Go through the forest to Prof Brune again.
DIRECTIONS Go all the way south, then turn east and follow the path northeast. Take the first path that continues east to the end. Then, go all the way south. |
You find Glen and Brune in the forest. Ellie explained what happened with Barua and Ralph. Glen is shocked to hear Barua's name. Glen and Brune talk; Glen says that it does seem that Ralph is being controlled. He asks Brune to go on ahead to Ien. Glen apologizes that he doesn't have time to explain everything, but asks the girls to go and help Prof Brune do what he needs. |
MAGIC (AUTOMATIC)| Glen teaches Lena the Saith Air spell.
MAGIC
Lena - Saith Air| Single gust of wind |
Exit the forest again.
DIRECTIONS Go back north until you see a path back to the east. |
Enter Brune's Classroom. Talk with Brune (in the back).
You ask Brune for his help; he gives you the restorative herbs, which help restore lost magic. Then, a student comes in saying that the boys in Iason's Dojo are acting crazy. The girls decide to go look. |
OPTIONAL| Go to the room on the left side of Brune's Classroom and check the moving plant.
Senia suggests that this might be a fly-eating plant. Lena investigates and nearly is bitten. She gets upset at Senia for not warning her; she could've been eaten up by the plant! |
OPTIONAL| Go to Iason's Dojo and talk to the people inside.
If you talk to Emma, she asks that the girls leave the dojo. She'll also heal you if you're hurt. Everyone else in the dojo is running into the walls, unable to stop, except for Emma, Eleonora, Brown, one student near Emma, and Iason-sensei himself. If you talk to Iason-sensei, he asks if the girls have anything to do with this (Lena denies this). He then asks the girls to leave, as it's become dangerous there. |
Go to the School Tower.
Ant, Kule, and Rick are in front of the tower, stopping you from entering. They look like they're also being controlled. Rather than give them the medicine, Lena decides to 'repay' them for spying on Ellie earlier that day. |
BOSS BATTLE| Try to enter the School Tower. Defeat the 3 Lesser Demons guarding the door.
Enter the School Tower.
Prof Ralph and Dean Steel are inside the School Tower. Ralph is still talking about following Barua's orders; Steel sees that he's being controlled. Lena tries to talk sense into him, but it's no use, so she tells Senia to use the medicine. Senia uses it. LENA: Senia, the medicine! SENIA: Right! Here it is! -crash- ELLIE: Senia, you didn't have to throw it... The girls run to Dean Steel, but are stopped. Barua teleports in. This is the first time she's seen the Dean for herself. She introduces herself as Barua, and says she's going to take over Ien. Steel says she won't let her; Barua says that all humans are like that--she can't be stopped. It's at this point that Dean Steel recognizes her as part of the Vile Tribe. Barua demands to know the "secret of Ien", or the short girl (Lena) will suffer for it. STEEL: ...the Vile Tribe! Why do you want Ien? Before Barua can do anything to Steel, she backs away, surprised that Glen is there (rather, she senses Glen's presence). She teleports out of the building and flies away; Ellie follows. |
LOCATION: COASTAL CAVE
Ellie follows Barua to the coast. Glen comes to help her out. Barua is surprised to find Glen here on this island. Before she leaves... |
CINEMA The same castle from before rises out of the water. Memphis walks out, saying that this is the legendary Dark Castle D, which will be more suitable for him and Barua. With the power of this castle, it'll be much easier to take down Ien. The castle floats away. |
Back on the ground, Ellie is disheartened about falling again. Glen says that it's on account of Barua; she's from the Vile Tribe, and isn't human. The girls ask him why he knows Barua; Glen doesn't answer, only saying that the Dark Castle and Barua are secrets, which he doesn't want other people to have to worry over. |
