Cosplay - Otakon 2004
Hey hey, Kizyr here finally with an update
from Otakon
2004. For those who don't know, Otakon is the largest
anime convention on the East Coast, and one of the most
significant conventions in the United States. This year
was incredible, but of particular interest was the fair
showing of plenty of Lunar cosplayers at the convention.
Me and LuciaOne managed to track down most of them, including
at the photoshoot on Friday, and so here they are. Also,
as this is the first LunarNET installment on conventions,
I've included two photos from Otakon 2003--one of Jessica,
and one of Lucia & Hiro. Anyway, click on the thumbnails

Lunar: Everyone
There were a few cosplayers around who
were unable to be at the photoshoot, or wore their costumes
on Saturday (this was taken on Friday). So, we weren't able
to track down all the Lunar cosplayers at this convention--and
I know I saw at least a couple of Lucias walking around.
Nevertheless, most of the Lunar cosplayers at the convention
are pictured below. And there were some quite well-made
costumes this year.
Lunar: Silver Star Story
In particular, you should definitely
notice the quality of the Luna and Phacia costumes below.
While all of them were actually quite good, the Luna and
Phacia ones in particular I found really well-made. The
second Jessica pictured below was from 2003, by the way.
Lunar: Eternal Blue
There were quite a few cosplayers from
Eternal Blue. Interestingly enough, there was also a Ruby
in human form--pictured only in one of the artbooks, never
in the games; that photo is down below with the other dragons
who showed up. Also, even better, the Jean costume won third
place in the journeyman category; you should definitely
notice the quality of that costume. The Lucia & Hiro photo
below is also from Otakon 2003--both of those costumes were
extremely good.
 
So that's all the convention material
for now. Once the next major convention rolls around--perhaps
Katsucon in February--then we'll see if we can't get a few
