Marvelous Interactive's Lunar: Genesis Page
Most of the information on Marvelous Interactive's Lunar: Genesis site is similar to what can be found on LunarNET's official Lunar: Dragon Song page. But there's still some great information available, and quite a few exclusives.
Here, we'll list the highlights of the page. A full translation of the entire site wouldn't yield much more information than what we already have, but the major points are as follows:
--------------------------
1) Main Page - Release Information
Lunar: Genesis' slated release is for August 25, 2005, for ¥4800 (¥5040 with tax). It will also be the first traditional RPG for the Nintendo DS.
As already reported before, the developer is Game Arts, while Marvelous Interactive is publishing the game in Japan (and UbiSoft in the United States). Toshiyuki Kubooka supervised character design and artwork.
2) Information - Preorder Gift
A gift is included with Lunar: Genesis. For those who preorder the game, a DS Screen Cleaner with an imprint of Lucia on it will come with the game. Amazon Japan preorders include the screen cleaner as well, but they don't ship internationally. Until then, I suggest NCSX.
3) Present - Lucia's Umbrella
With the upcoming release of Lunar: Genesis, Marvelous Interactive is holding a promotional "Present Campaign". Contestants can enter a lottery, and 10 people can win a custom-made umbrella in the style of the umbrella which Lucia carries in Lunar: Genesis / Dragon Song.
Furthermore, one contestant will be chosen from those who send positive feedback after Lunar's release. That one contestant will be able to meet famed magazine model Yuzuki Aikawa, who will come personally (as a courier) to deliver it wearing Lucia's costume.
The link to the entry form is below (here). Apply between August 12th and November 3rd, 2005, to be eligible. Only Japanese residents may apply (sorry to get your hopes up; Yuzuki Aikawa doesn't do international flights).
4) Interview - Store Interviews
With the upcoming launch date, a countdown has begun for Lunar: Genesis. Marvelous Interactive has interviewed several stores advertising for the game (with some great promotional displays). Those interviews are hosted in this section.
There are seven total interviews planned. The content of the interviews thus far is about the sentiment and thoughts of store owners and employees about the game, and about their initial thoughts of the original Lunars and upcoming Lunar: Genesis.

As more information becomes available, we will continue to report on it. Until then, LunarNET is your main source for information on Lunar for the DS. KF
