The island of Ien arrives at the Island of the Arts, Shell, so that the students can further appreciate... the arts. The chapter opens with a meeting between Steel, Brown (the student president), Eleonora (Brown's friend), and Court (the mayor of Shell). This year's art exhibit theme is monsters, hence the strange statues in town--so many that they've had to put several underground. Unfortunately, the statues have begun acting... restless.
While speaking, a "restless" smiley-face on legs walks in, eats Eleonora, and runs out. |
You'll begin at the entrance to Shell; but, don't go anywhere in town just yet. You just finished a dungeon in the last chapter, so first go north to exit town, and continue north back to Ien and enter the town. Speak with all the professors who can give you spells as normal; by this point you may be able to get a spell from Emma at least. If you have the money, you might want to go to the Robe shop and pick up a Power Robe (see the Items section for details) or two for Ellie and Lena; any more than that gets too expensive. |
Go back to the town of Shell. Feel free to explore around (there's a map of the town in the Academy page). Some of the statues move around, and Ant and his friends are in the building east of the statues. The main building in town is the large one in the northeast; most people there talk about a fellow named Henner who made a lot of the statues and lives in the center of town. |
When you're done exploring, go to the cave entrance in the center of town--just walk into the giant mouth. Enter and walk along the hall for a little bit, then the face-on-legs runs by with Eleonora screaming in it. Short while later, Brown, Steel, and Court run in. Steel explains that the statues in town have begun acting "restless". Court adds that this is because spirits reside within the artwork in Shell--so when the theme this year was monsters, some of the spirits grew restless. Steel asks if you can help them by dealing with the statues in here, while they find a way to stop the "restlessness" altogether. |
After the conversations, it's time to track down Eleonora. The dungeon is all straightforward; there aren't any forks or turns along the path you'll need to follow.
|
After defeating Squeeze, you free Eleonora. Senia and Lena are both angry with Henner for creating such a dangerous monster that nearly ate Eleonora, but Henner explains that his intent was just to bring her there so that he could convey his feelings for her. Odd but, well, no harm done, and the girls give the Ultimate parts to him. Henner shifts his focus and asks if Ellie could be a model for his newest creation. Before that, Lena suggests that they return to town, since everyone is worried about Eleonora. Back in town, Steel thanks the girls for their help. He further explains that, from their investigation, they've found that one of the statues in town is emitting an evil aura, hence the spirits in the town's statues acting up. The girls say that they'll go to find and destroy that statue, and leave the building. |
Do not go to the statue just yet! Since you've just exited another dungeon, you should exit the town of Shell, go back to the town on Ien once again, and speak with the professors there that can teach you magic. You may be able to learn more spells from Iason and Emma. |
Return to Shell. Go to the southeast corner of town and look at the statue ("talk" to it). A voice will come from nowhere, and the statue attacks. After defeating the statue, yu receive the Ultimate Body item. Henner approaches you once again and begs Ellie to come model for him; she finally agrees. So Henner creates a statue based off of Ellie that looks kind of... odd. When the girls leave, Henner laughs to himself that the statue isn't yet finished; they'll see him again once it is. ...yep, he's crazy. The curtain closes. |
