Chapter 5: Around the Dorms
Chapter 5: Around the Dorms

Yes, this was all made by Ant and his friends. Now that the girls' other room has been destroyed, they decided to move into the dormitory. When you begin, Ellie, Lena, and Senia are in the first floor of the dorm; Lena and Senia are both hungry and want to find the dining room first. Go up and enter the room where all the tables are. Senia and Lena see food already laid out and wonder if it's for them, when the dorm cook and caretaker, Stella, runs in. She greets the girls and says that she heard about what happened to their old place from Dadis. So it's time to eat. Stella explains that Ant is the one who prepared the food today--he might be a bad kid outside, but in the dorm he's one of the best. Stella asks them to go ahead and eat before the food gets cold.

They start eating--the food is really good, it seems. But then, someone dashes in next to Senia's soup, then runs back out. When Senia takes another bite, the soup is incredibly hot--Lena realizes the girl who just ran in dropped some hot sauce in. They tell Stella what just happened, and she explains that Layla and her friends usually tease the new students. But Stella also warns them not to start any fights.

When he followed the butterfly, the Architectural Magic professor disappeared, so they say Time to go after Layla. Exit the dining room, go left, then up and ascend the stairs. On the second floor, Layla is in the room just to the right of the stairs. Enter and talk with her. She doesn't admit to doing anything to Senia's soup, but then starts admonishing the girls for entering her dorm room unasked. She goes on to introduce herself and asks if you know the secret of this dorm--that prompts the answers I know / I don't know; pick the second one ("I don't know") and she begins to explain.

Layla tells you that the dorm was built by an Architecture Magician. The architect found a rare butterfly in the dorm, but when he followed it, he disappeared. Since then, no one has seen him. Where the butterfly is located, there are many lovely treasures there. Layla says that Ant and his friends already went there. She doesn't have any interest in treasure herself, but she thought that some backwater girls like yourselves might--Senia is upset, but Lena is more interested in the treasure. Layla says that if you want to find the butterfly, then go to Mr. Richter's room and talk with him; you can find it at the top of the staircase on the right.

Lena learned Saith Air Do not go to Mr. Richter's room just yet! You just finished a dungeon in the last chapter, and should be a few levels higher, so leave the dorms and speak with all the professors you can learn magic from first. By this point, you should be able to learn spells from Emma (first floor of the office building), Steel (top floor of the office building), and Ralph (in the library).

Ah, it's a butterfly! Let's follow it When you go back to the dorms, take the staircase on the right side (not the one behind Stella) and go up three floors. You'll see what looks like a butterfly flying through the hall to the right. Follow it and enter the room on the right.

Argh! Oh, Lena, can use your magic to heal me!? You'll drop down into a strange dungeon. You'll need to find your way through this labyrinth using the teleporters (the hexagram symbols). You can step on the teleporter right below you to exit the labyrinth and return to the dorms, and re-enter the room to go back into the labyrinth.

From the first area, go left, down, and across to the teleporter on the other side of the room. In the second area, go left for a Star Herb, then go down the path to the next teleporter. In the third area, go left and follow the path to the next teleporter.
In the fourth area, you run into Ant and his friends again. Talk to him. He asks Lena to recover him with her magic; you can answer either Yes / No. If you say No, then he complains and the three of them head back. If you say Yes (which you should!), then Ant thanks you and he tells you that the labyrinth is real difficult. They then head back. Now, go down and continue along the path to the next teleporter.
In the fifth area, go left and up, and pick up the Resurrect Herb in the chest. Then, go up and all the way left to pick up a Calm Herb in another chest. From here, go down to the next room and pick up a Cure Herb in a third chest. Go right from here and step on the teleporter; this will take you to a small room with a Star Light. Go back to the teleporter, then go right for a Calm Herb. After getting all five of these, go directly down from the teleporter and continue along the path to the teleporter to the sixth area of the labyrinth.
The sixth through ninth areas are all straightforward: just follow the paths to the next teleporter. In the tenth area, go right and there's a big room; go to the southeast corner for a Chalk in a chest. Then go to the northeast corner of the room to the next teleporter. In the eleventh area, continue down the path to the teleporter into the final room.
In the twelfth area, go right then follow the path to the boss of the labyrinth: the Shishuri, a giant butterfly. "Talk" to it and you'll see someone fallen behind it; now it's time to defeat the boss.

Hahaha! That's right! I got lost in my own labyrinth! After defeating the Shishuri, go up to fight Mr. Richter himself. He explains that he loves butterflies, and so ended up in here. He doesn't know why there's a giant butterfly there, but this is a preserve for them; perhaps the giant one wants to protect them, suggests Lena. As for why he fell down... he was here for a while and got hungry. Richter mentions that he's in fact the one who constructed this labyrinth as a butterfly preserve. He shows you the way back to the dorms from there, and you're back in his room. Richter thanks the girls for their help, and gives them a Resurrect Potion in return. The curtain closes for this chapter.
