Dragon Song - The World
Dragon Song takes place about 1000 years before the events of Silver Star Story. The world was a very different place back then. Beastmen are at the center of power, with large cities near the center, while Humans are more on the periphery. The Frontier is not sealed off from the rest of the world, but it is still remote, as any "frontier" would be. Nevertheless, there are some familiar locations. The continent of Caldor (later called Caldor Island) is once again home to the game's hero, and the Thieves' Forest (later called the Weird Woods) is there, too. The Frontier is where the Vile Tribe is prominent (though they're not sealed off there). And you can even see the precursors of what would later become Vane (even though the city itself is not yet founded).
The map above shows most of the locations around the world of Dragon Song. More detail is below.
The Continent of Caldor
The northern continent of Caldor is the largest landmass on Lunar. Here you will find the port town of Searis, home to Jian and Lucia, along with the beast city of Healriz. Legends of a White Dragon also circulate in the village of Perit, located deep in the Thieves' Woods. And the Red Dragon is rumored to be on the other side of the Barrel Desert to the west.
The Continent of Wrick
Wrick is literally central to the world. On this continent is the Cathedral of Althena, honoring the goddess. There is also a magic laboratory on this continent, where extensive studies and experiments in magic have been carried out. The continent is connected to the rest of the world through the cities of Leephon and Olbeage, and to the Frontier by the impressive Sungrid Bridge.
The Continent of Ghulian
The western continent of Ghulian is covered by the vast Moto Rainforest. The port of Noapeace is here, as well as the village of Rebric, deep inside the rainforest. The continent is difficult to traverse, but both the Black and Blue Dragons are supposedly on this continent, as well as the Tower of Kirlis.
The desolate Frontier is removed from the rest of the world, connected only by the Sungrid Bridge to Wrick. Besides the small outpost at the Guystole Mine, there is little of note here aside from the bleak Sandra Desert and Elda Canyon. Ignatius has chosen this place for his castle.
