Welcome to LunarNET's Lunar: Dragon Song section! Released in Japan in 2005 as Lunar: Genesis, it was ported to the US in the same year as Lunar: Dragon Song (the name of the US release was actually decided by fans via a poll right here on LunarNET), and the following year saw a European release.

Lunar: Dragon Song is set a thousand years before the events of Lunar: Silver Star Story, at a time when tensions between beastmen and humans were high and the Vile Tribe was just beginning to gather power in the distant Frontier. It tells the story of Jian Campbell and Lucia Collins, two childhood friends who work as couriers for Gad's Express. Their work ends up taking them right into the heart of beastmen territory, where they find unlikely friends and enemies, and come face-to-face with the greatest threat to Lunar's existence.
