| Now teleport directly to Myght's Lab using the White Dragon Wings (it's the second choice from the end when you use them). Once there, go up and talk to Myght. He says that he needs only one more night to complete the Airship, and that Laike is supposed be coming by there pretty soon. They're free to stay in his lab for the night. Just, please don't go up to the roof and disturb him while he's working. |
 | Night comes automatically. Laike is there by that time. Go to the right and talk to Jessica and Kyle: Kyle is confident that they'll take care of Ghaleon with their power. In a lower voice, he also says that he'll protect Jessica. Jessica, somehow playing with him, says she didn't quite hear what he said and wants him to repeat it. Kyle being too embarassed says it was nothing, and at Jessica's insistence they get into yet another argument... |
 | Go down and to the left side to talk to Nash and Mia after that. Nash is as usual concerned with Mia's safety, especially in the face of Ghaleon's incredible power. He's unusually pessimistic at this, too. Mia admits that she's scared, but must go on; so Nash suggests that Mia stay here, rather, and he'll take care of everything. Mia thanks him but says that she'll be okay. |
 | After speaking with them go back up to talk to Laike once more. Myght just then will call from above and tell everyone to come up to see the completed Airship. You'll go up and see his finished product. Everyone seems ready to go and defeat Ghaleon once and for all. Something is up with Nash, though. Mia looks to him and asks what's wrong. He recomposes himself and tells everyone that there's no reason to bother leaving. Ghaleon's power is too great and none of them have a chance against him, he says. Therefore, he won't allow them to go to the Frontier. He then blows a hole in the side of the ship just as Royce warps in. He goes over to her and just before teleporting out apologizes to Mia. Myght looks back at the Airship and sees that Nash blew out the engine, which would take forever to rebuild. Jessica and the rest realize that there's no way to get to the Frontier unless they can find another engine, but that's impossible. Just then, though, Kyle gets his one and only bright idea in the entire game: Shiela (side note: engine in Japanese is 'enjin', strange / eccentric man in Japanese is 'henjin', thus when Kyle heard 'engine', he thought 'strange man' which brought up that inventor in Iluk). The hot-air balloon they flew back in section six had an engine in it, so if they return to Reza they might be able to recover it. You know your next stop now. |
9.2) REZA - Recovering Stolen Goods Again
 | Teleport back to Reza via the White Dragon Wings. Once there, enter the bar and go back to the Thieves' Bazaar (on the way you can actually talk to Lily, who mentions Luna and how she took care of them). Once in the bazaar, talk with the red-headed guy in the upper-right corner. He'll recognize them and Kyle mentions that they want the crashed balloon and flashes the Guild Card. But, since the engine is not really the original property of Kyle, the thief won't return it. Kyle then says he only wants the engine, so he offers it in exchange for 30000S. Kyle looks to Alex and asks what to do, you can answer either: 1) Alright, we'll buy, or 2) Then I won't buy it!. You have to choose #1 to continue. After retrieving the engine, you can go. |
 | Before going to Myght's Lab, now that Nash is out of your party, head to Iluk. Talk to the man in the upper-right house; this is a guy obsessed with both Mia and Jessica. Mia will spy a picture of her and will start getting nervous (and a little frightened of the guy). You'll take the picture off his hands to calm her nerves. You should now have picture #47 in your Gallery collection under the options menu at the title screen. After this, you can head back to Myght's Lab. |
9.3) MYGHT'S LAB - Try Try Again
 | Return to Myght's Lab via the White Dragon Wings and speak to him. You'll give him the engine and he'll thank you, saying just to wait in his lab while he finishes the repairs. You wait again. Talk to Kyle and Jessica once more, they're both incredibly furious at Nash, of course, though Jessica a lot more so. |
 | Speak with Mia in the opposite corner, she's still hopeful. She believes Nash genuinely wanted to protect them from harm. After you've spoken to both, Myght will call Alex and the rest from above. You'll go up top and after some parting words board the ship. Meanwhile, back in the lab, Myght comments to Laike that Alex is a lot like he was when he was young; Laike agrees, but adds that he was still better-looking. En route to the Frontier, though, you see the Grindery for a brief moment, just before it shoots the ship down. You manage to crash-land in the nearby town of Talon. |
